The correct option is A 1 cm2
Area of rectangle = (8×6)=48 cm2
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(8+6) = 28 cm
Let the side of square be a
Therefore, perimeter = 4a
Perimeter of square = Perimeter of rectangle
4a=28
a=7 cm
Therefore, area of square = 72 = 49 cm2
Therefore, difference between area of square and area of rectangle=(4948)=1 cm2
