725 cm2


Area of rectangle = length x breadth

Area of rectangular region = 30 x 25
= 750 cm2

Given, side of square cut out = 5 cm

Area of square = 5 x 5
= 25 cm2

Area of the remaining portion = area of rectangle - area of square.
=750 - 25
= 725 cm2
