A rectangular sand box is 5m wide and 2m long. How muany cubic metres of sand are needed to fill the box upto a depth of 10cm?
The box has a shape of a cuboid.
Volume of a cuboid of length l, breadth b and height h =l×b×h depth = height =10cm=0.1m
So, the volume of the sand that can be filled in the box =5×2×0.1=1m3
