Length (l) =10cm

Breadth (b) =8cm

Height (h) =x

Volume of rectangular vessel =480cm3

STEP 2 : Finding the height of the vessel

Volume =l×b×h

480=10×8×x

x=48010×8=48080

x=6cm

Hence, the rectangular vessel must be made 6cm high to hold 480 cubic centimeters of liquid.
