For the given circuit,

XC=1ωC,

Z=R2+X2C, and,

Irms=ErmsZ

Now, average power,

Pavg=ErmsIrmscosϕ

Pavg=Erms×ErmsZ×RZ=E2rms RZ2

Pavg=E2rms RR2+(1ωC)2=E20 R2[R2+(1ωC)2]

From the above expression, we can conclude that,

(I) If frequency is increased, the average power utilized increases.

(II) If the capacitance is increased, the average power utilized increases.
