For the given circuit,

XC=1ωC,

Z=R2+X2C, and,

Irms=ErmsZ

Now, average power,

Pavg=ErmsIrmscosϕ

Pavg=Erms×ErmsZ×RZ=E2rms RZ2

Pavg=E2rms RR2+(1ωC)2=E20 R2[R2+(1ωC)2]

From the above expression, we can conclude that,

(I) If frequency is increased, the average power utilized increases.

(II) If the capacitance is increased, the average power utilized increases.

(III) If the value of peak alternating voltage (E0) is increased, the average power utilized increases.
