$R=\frac{V}{I}=\frac{220}{5}=44\Omega$

If $n$ number of $R$ resistances are connected in parallel then their equivalent resistance becomes $R_{eq}=\frac{R}{n}$

where $R=176ohms$

Now according to the question, $\frac{R}{n}=44$

$n=\frac{176}{44}=4$
