The correct option is B 85 N

FBD of the rope will be

Using FBD, we can write 70+5×g100=5×a a=4 m/s2
Hence rope will be accelerating downwards with an acceleration of 4 m/s2
Let T be the tension at the mid-point of the rope
Now, draw the FBD of upper half of this rope

Using FBD, we can write T+2.5×g100=2.5×a T=85 N
