Let total sales be $x$.

Hence,

$5\%ofx=1450$

$\Rightarrow \frac{5}{100}\times x=1450$

$\Rightarrow x=Rs.29000$

Excess sale $=29000-20000=Rs.9000$

So, his total earning

$=1\%of9000=\frac{9000}{100}=Rs.90$
