Step 2: Finding the price of an article which is sold for ₹ 560

S.P. = M.P. - Discount

$\Rightarrow$ S.P. = $x-\frac{20}{100}\times x$

$\Rightarrow$ ₹ 560 $=\frac{100x-20x}{100}$

$\Rightarrow$ ₹ 560 $=\frac{80x}{100}$

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{560\times 100}{80}$

$\Rightarrow x=₹700$

Hence, the price of an article is ₹ 700 which is sold for ₹ 560.
