A shopkeeper bought a cycle for Rs. 1200 and sold it for Rs. 1500. Find his profit (or) loss percentage.

Cost price of the cycle (C.P) =Rs. 1200
Selling price of the cycles (S.P)=Rs. 1500
Since SP > CP ,there is a gain.

Gain = SP CP

Gain =Rs. 1500Rs. 1200=Rs. 300

Now, Gain Percentage =GainC.P×100
=3001200×100=25
Therefore, The shopkeeper makes 25% profit.
