A shopkeeper bought a T.V. at a discount of 30% on the list price of Rs.24,000. The shopkeeper offers a discount of 10% on the list price to his customer. If the VAT is 10% find the amount paid by the customer, and the VAT to be paid by the shopkeeper.

The correct option is B
Rs. 23,760; Rs.480

Market Price = ₹ $24, 000$
C.P for shopkeeper = $\frac{70}{100} \times 24000 = 16800$
S.P for shopkeeper = $\frac{90}{100} \times 24000 = 21600$
VAT for shopkeeper = $\frac{10 (21600 - 16800)}{100} = ₹ 480$
Customer pays = $21600 + \frac{10 \times 21600}{100} = ₹ 23760$
