A shopkeeper bought a TV at a discount of the listed price of Rs. 24000. The shopkeeper offers a discount of 10% on the listed price to his customer. If the VAT is 10%, find :
(i) the amount paid by the customer.
(ii) the VAT to be paid by the shopkeeper.

Tax%=6%
d%=20%
C.P for shopkeeper = 160020% of 1600
=1600320=1280
Tax paid = 6% of 1280=76.8
S.P. for shopkeeper = C.P for buyer = M.P. = 1600 (without tax)
With Tax C.P. for buyer = 1600+6% of 1600
=1600+96=1696
VAT paid by shopkeeper = Tax charged - Tax charged paid
=9676.8=19.2.
