Solution

We are given, shopkeeper Filled a cartoon with apples, grapes and oranges in the ratio 12:15:17
Let A denotes apples, G denotes Grapes & O denotes oranges
so, let A12=G15=O17=k
A=12 k, G=15 k & O=17 k
Now, total Fruits are 2288
So, 12 k+15 k+17 k=2288
(as A+G+O=2288)
44 k=2288
k=228844
k=52

A=12×52=624 apples
G=15×52=780 grapes
O=17×52=884 oranges
So the shopkeeper Filled a carton with 62h apples, 780 grapes and 884 oranges.
