The correct option is A The current in the resistive branch is 0.2A

Capacitive reactance is,

XC=1ωC

=12πfC

=12π×5000×1/π

=104Ω

Here, the resistance is very high in comparison to capacitive reactance, so almost whole current will pass through the resistor.

Current through resistor of 100Ω is,

I=VR

=20100=0.2A
