Mass of water =36 gm

Mass of acetaldehyde, CH2O =64 gm

Molar mass of acetaldehyde =44 gm

Mole fraction of acetaldehyde =moles of acetaldehydemoles of acetaldehyde + moles of water

Mole fraction of acetaldehyde =(64/44)(64/44+36/18)=1.45(1.45+2)=1.453.45=0.42
