$\mathrm{The}\mathrm{solution}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{chalk}\mathrm{in}\mathrm{water}\mathrm{is}\mathrm{a}\mathrm{heterogenous}\mathrm{mixture}.\mathrm{It}\mathrm{is}\mathrm{a}\mathrm{suspension}\mathrm{and}\mathrm{so}\mathrm{it}\mathrm{is}\mathrm{unstable}.\mathrm{If}\mathrm{kept}\mathrm{undisturbed},\mathrm{the}\mathrm{chalk}\mathrm{settles}\mathrm{below}\mathrm{the}\mathrm{water},\mathrm{and}\mathrm{therefore}\mathrm{it}\mathrm{is}\mathrm{unstable}.$
