We know, the perimeter of a semi-circle
=π r
Now,
P1=π (0.5)=π2 cmP2=π (1)=π cmP3=π (1.5)=3π2 cm
Given sequence is an A.P. whose
a=π2, d=π2

Therefore, the required length of the spiral
S13=132[2a+(131)d]S13=132[π+6π]S13=132[7π]=132×7×227S13=13×11=143 cm
