= 6ˆi+0.5ˆj

AD=AE2+DE2


=62+(0.5)2

=6.02 km

Now, tan θ=DEAE=.56

θ=tan1(112)

Hence displacement of the car is 6.02 km along the direction tan1(112) with +ve
x-axis.
