Solution

The lens should be moved towards the screen so as to get a clear image and sharp image. Because when we move the lens towards the screen then the object moves farther away from the lens. Hence we can get take the object as at infinity so when light rays come from the infinity the convex lens converges the rays of light and focuses the image and hence we are able to get the image on the screen that is the distant lamp.
