The correct option is C 16,500
Given,
Height of the cylinder, h=2.1 m
Diameter of the cylinder, d=3 m
Slant height of conical part, l=2.8 m

Area of canvas required
= Curved surface area of cylinder + Curved surface area of cone
=2πrh+πrl
=2×227×32×2.1+227×32×2.8
=227(6.3+4.2)
=227×10.5
=33m2

So, cost of canvas at the rate of 500/m2 is
=33×500
=16,500
