Solution

The correct option is E (A) and (C) are false but (B) is true
-Epimorphosis means repairative regeneration. In this type of regeneration only the broken part of the organism/tissue is repaired and the broken part will not give rise to new individual. It is observed in case of tail regeneration in Lizard. While, if in organism each broken part develops into a complete organism it is called as Morphallaxis. It is observed in lower organisms such as Hydra.
-Autotomy or self-amputation is the behaviour wherein animals shed or discard one or more of its appendages usually as a self-defence mechanism. Observed in the tail of a lizard.
-Regeneration of limb of amphibians involves Epimorphosis.
Hence, from given statements (A) is False, (B) is true and (C) is false.
So, the correct answer is 'Option E- (A) and (C) are false but (B) is true.'.
