A train takes 2 hours to travel from Ajmer to Jaipur, which are 130km apart. How much time will it take to travel from Delhi to Bhopal which are 780 km apart, if the train is travelling at the uniform speed?

Distance between Ajmer and Jaipur = 130km
Distance between Delhi and Bhopal = 780km
The train is travelling at the uniform speed.
Therefore, distance : time :: distance : time

Let, time taken to travel from Delhi to Bhopal be x hours.
$\Rightarrow 130:2::780:x\Rightarrow \frac{130}{2}=\frac{780}{x}$
$\Rightarrow 130\times x=2\times 780$ [by cross multiplication]
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{2\times 780}{130}=12$
Hence, the train will take 12 hours to travel from Delhi to Bhopal
