A triangle ABC and a parallelogram ABDF lie on the same base AB and between the same parallels AB and DF. If the area of the triangle is 24 cm2, what will be the area of the parallelogram ?

We know that if a triangle and a parallelogram lie on the same base and between the same parallels, then the area of the triangle is half the area of the parallelogram.
So, Area of the parallelogram=2×24 cm2
=48 cm2
