A triangular park has sides 120m,80mand50m. A gardener has to put a fence all around it and also plant grass inside. How much area does he need to plant? Find the cost of fencing it with barbed wire at the rate of Rs30perm leaving a space of 3m wide for a gate on one side.

Step 1: Finding the area of the triangular park, using the Heron's formula

Step 2: Find the perimeter of the park

Perimeter=a+b+cPerimeter=50+80+120Perimeter=250m

Step 3: Find the cost of fencing

Thus, length of wire needed =2503=247m

So, cost of fencing =30×247=Rs7410

The area needs to plant is 37515m2 and the cost of fencing is Rs7410
