The correct option is C both will cover the same distance
By using work energy theorem, we get that when a retarding force is applied on an object , the kinetic energy lost will be equal to the product of the retarding force and the displacement. In the above case, since both the objects have the same kinetic energy and have the same forces being applied on them, the distance travelled by them before they stop will be the same.
