The correct option is B 24 m/s
Using conservation of momentum
$m_{1} u_{1} + m_{2} u_{2} = m_{1} v_{1} + m_{2} v_{2}$

$\Rightarrow 5000 (20) + 1000 (30) = 5000 (v_{1}) + 1000 (10)$

$\Rightarrow v_{1} = \frac{120000}{5000} = 24 m / s$
