Let the number of bananas be bought is x

$CP=\frac{16x}{12}=\frac{4x}{3}$

$SP=\frac{18x}{10}=\frac{9x}{5}$

$SP>CP$

so,

$gain\%=\frac{SP-CP}{CP}\times 100$

$=\frac{\frac{9x}{5}-\frac{4x}{3}}{\frac{4x}{3}}\times 100$

$=\frac{27x-10x}{15\times \frac{4x}{3}}\times 100$

$=\frac{7x}{15}\times \frac{3}{4x}\times 100$

$35\%$
