Sameer bought $1600$ bananas at $Rs3.75$ a dozen. He sold $900$ of them at $2$ for $Rs1$ and the remaining at $5$ for $Rs2$. Find his gain or loss per cent.

$=\frac{1600}{12}=3.75=\frac{16\times 375}{12}=Rs500$

He sold 900 bananas at Rs 1 for two bananas

Amount to which he sold 900 bananas $=\frac{900}{2}\times 1$

$Rs=450$

The remaining 700 are sold at Rs 2 for five

Amount to which be sold 700 bananas =$\frac{700}{5}.2$

$Rs=280$

Gain $=\left(\frac{soldcost-Actualcost}{Actualcost}\right)\times 100$

$=\left(\frac{450+280-500}{500}\right)\times 100=\frac{230}{5}=46$ %
