Question

A vendor buys bananas at 3 for a rupee and sells at 4 for a rupee. Find his profit or loss percentage

Open in App
Solution

Consider the number of bananas bought =12

Here, LCM of 3 and 4 is 12

We know that

C.P. of bananas =13x12=4

S.P. of bananas =14x12=3

Here

Loss=C.P.S.P.

=43=1

Loss%=[LossC.P.×100]%

=[14x100]%=1004%=25%

Hence, their loss percent is 25%
