A vendor supplies 42litres of milk to a hotel in the morning and 58litres of milk in the evening. If the milk costs 30 per litre, how much money is due to the vendor per day?

Step I - A vendor supplies milk to the hotel in the morning = 42litres

A vendor supplies milk to the hotel in the evening = 58litres

Cost of milk per litre = 30

So, total money is due to the vendor per day = 42×30+58×30

Step II - Taking 30 as common from the above numbers.

42×30+58×30 = 30×(42+58)

= 30×100 = 3000

Hence, total money is due to the vendor per day = 3000.
