Solution

Population of a village = 4000

Water required per head per day = 150 litres

Total water required daily = 4000×150 litres

=600000 litres

Dimensions of a tank = 20 m×15 m×6 m

Volume of tank = 20×15×6 m3

=1800 m3

Capacity of water in litres = 1800×1000 litres (1 m3=1000 litres)

=1800000 litres

The water will last for = 1800000600000=3 days
