Solution

a) Hermaphrodites are the organisms which possess both the male and the female reproductive systems in the same body. The tapeworms are the example of hermaphrodites which can perform self-fertilization. The male gamete can fertilize the female gamete in the same organism.
b) Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction in which single parent is involved. In this process, there is no formation or fusion of the gametes. The offspring which is produced by this type of asexual reproduction is genetically same and identical to the parent cell. They are exact copies of the parent cell and thus, the offspring is called as a clone.
