a) Food poisoning is caused by consuming food which has been spoiled by pathogens. The pathogens grow on our food and release toxic substances which when consumed can lead to food poisoning.
b) Two common pathogens that cause food poisoning are Salmonella and Escherichia coli.
c) Symptoms of food poisoning include abdominal cramps, nausea, fever, vomiting and diarrhoea.
