Solution

(a) Wild animals are collectively known as the native fauna (and sometimes flora) of a region.
Living things and especially mammals, birds, and fishes that are neither human nor domesticated
Wildlife traditionally refers to undomesticated animal species but has come to include all plants, fungi, and other organisms that grow or live wild in an area without being introduced by humans.
Conservation of wildlife and forests is vital for the ecological stability of a particular area. It is important that we conserve wildlife and forests which we have inherited because they constitute our most precious wealth.

b) Measures taken to conserve forests and wildlife are:

1. Overgrazing by animals in the forests should be stopped
2. All activities leading to soil erosion must be stopped.
3. While constructing dams, roads and mining, all ecological factors must be stopped.
4. Large-scale cutting of Forest trees must be stopped.
5. Forest must be protected from insects and pests
