Solution

(a) Sodium chloride and sulphuric acid are used as the main reactants for the production of hydrogen chloride gas.

(b) The reaction at temperature below 2000C takes place as follows:

NaCl(s) + H2SO4(aq) → NaHSO4(s) + HCl(g)

(c) When ammonia gas comes in contact with hydrogen chloride gas, it yields dense white fumes of ammonium chloride.

HCl(g) + NH3(g) → NH4Cl(s)
