(a) The couples who have the problems regarding the reproductive system such as in males, the sperm count is less. In women, there is a problem about implantation of the zygote or the problems in the uterus or the problems in fertilization.
(b) IVF is a major treatment for infertility when other methods of assisted reproductive technology have failed. The process involves monitoring and stimulating a woman's ovulatory process, removing ovum or ova (egg or eggs) from the woman's ovaries and letting sperm fertilise them in a fluid medium in a laboratory.
