When Gulliver came to know about the immortality of the Struldbrugs, his initial reaction was that of utter delight and he saw innumerable advantages of this and how it could benefit the people of the earth. Later, on being told that an immortal life was just like that of a mortal with old age stretched longer, Gulliver lost the delight and changed his mind that wished to be immortal.
