A woman buys toffees at Rs 2.50 a dozen and an equal number at Rs. 3 a score. She sells them at Rs. 3.60 a score and thus makes a profit of Rs. 10. How many toffees did she buy?

The correct option is B 12000
Let woman buys 2x number of toffeees.

Then she buys x tofees at Rs 2.50 a dozen and x toffees at Rs 3 a score.

Hint : 1 dozen=12 objects and 1 score=20 objects.

Total CP=(2.5012×x)+(320×x)=524x+320x=43x120

Now, she sells them at Rs 3.60 a score.

Total SP=3.6020×2x=9x25

Since, it is given that she makes a profit of Rs 10

SPCP=10

9x2543x120=10

216x215x600=10

x600=10

x=6000

Hence she buys 2x=2×6000=12000 toffees
