C Rain may be falling vertically.

α= angle made by velocity of rain with vertical

When direction of velocity of rain VR with vertical approaches 90, velocity of rain w.r.t. woman VRM decreases and at 90 it becomes zero, which is not possible.

Similarly, when direction of velocity of rain VR with vertical reaches 30, velocity of woman becomes VM as zero, which is also not possible according to question.

Hence, α can vary from 30 to 90.
