Solution

a. Haworth structure of "Lactose" is shown. "Lactose" is a disaccharide made from two monomers Galactose and glucose.
b. i. Non-essential amino acids are synthesized in our body and need not be supplied through diet. Few examples of non-essential amino acids are alanine, arginine, cystine etc.
ii. The structure of "glycine" is H2NCH2COOH. The Zwitterionic structure of "glycine" is H3N+CH2COO.NH2−CH2−COOH
c. Uracil the nitrogenous base present in RNA but not in DNA. DNA contains nitrogenous bases adenine, guanine cytosine and thymine. RNA contains nitrogenous bases adenine, guanine cytosine and uracil.
