(a) Sushrut: Sushrut was a renowned surgeon of ancient India and author of the book Sushrut Samhita. He was the first physician to advocate what is today known as 'Caesarean operation'. He was also expert in locating and treating fractures, removing urinary stones and in doing eye operation for cataract.

(i) Amla
Active ingredients : Vitamin $C$
Uses : In fever, Diabetes, Asthama etc.
(ii) Haldi
Active ingredients : Curcumin
Uses : As an antiseptic and antibiotic. Headache, swelling of eyes etc.
(iii) Tulsi
Active ingredients : Cineole and Eugenol
Uses : In skin diseases ear pain, cough and cold etc.
