Lets take reduced amount as $x$
So,
Reduced amount $= 1776 - x$
VAT $= \frac{(1776 - x) 11}{100}$
Total amount $= \frac{(1776 - x) 11}{100} + 1776 - x$
$1776 = \frac{(1776 - x) 11}{100} + 1776 - x$
$100 x = 1776 \times 11 - 11 x$
$111 x = 1776 \times 11$
$x = 176$
