Solution

The correct option is D 10 kg
Abdul can weigh 3 kg by putting 5 kg stone on one side of the balance and 2 kg stone on the other balance. The difference will give 5 - 2 = 3 kg. So 3 kg object can we placed along with the 2 kg stone to balance.

He can weigh 4 kg by putting 6 kg stone on one side of the balance and 2 kg stone on the other side of the balance. The difference will give 6 - 2 = 4 kg. So 4 kg object can be placed along with the 2 kg stone to balance.

He can weigh 7 kg by putting 5 kg stone and 2 kg stone together on one side of the balance and the 7 kg object on the other side. The sum will give 5 + 2 = 7 kg.

But, Abdul cannot weigh 10 kg using these stones.
