According to biology life is ability to reproduce but mules cannot reproduce so are they considered alive or not.why?

Mule is a hybrid organism. Meaning it is produced by a cross between horse and donkey. Hybrids are not normally occuring organisms.They are produced by artificial means.That is why it is not capable of reproduction.Mule is a living organism but it is hybrid between horse and donkey,so it is incapable of reproduction.
