Solution

The correct option is A 2055 A
We know that, for any H like species, En=21.76×1019n2(Z2)
where, n=Orbit number, Z=Atomic number
For He+ ion (Z=2) in 3rd orbit,
E3(He+)=21.76×101932(22) J
=21.76×10199(4) J ...(i)

Hence, the energy equivalent to E3 (magnitude wise) will be required to remove an e from 3rd orbit of He+ ion.
Also, E=hcλ ...(ii)

Hence, equating (i) and (ii) we get,
hcλ=21.76×10199(4)
λ=hcE=6.626×1034×3×108×921.76×1019×4

λ=2055×1010 m
λ=2055 A
