Endangered species
IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) is the organisation that publishes the Red List of species.
The IUCN Red list is a record of endangered species.
Threatened species are those which are likely to become endangered in the future and eventually get in the phase of extinction.
According to the IUCN red list more than 40,000 species are endangered.
In the present time, birds, amphibians, mammals and reptiles taxonomic groups are facing the extinction threat of 13%,41%,26% and 21% respectively.
