The correct option is C 4.1 L
Ideal gas law equation is given as PV = nRT, where P is the pressure of the gas, V is the volume occupied by the gas, n is the number of moles of the gas and T is the temperature of the gas.
Here, P = 3 atm
V is unknown and to be found out
n = 0.5 mole
R = 0.0821 L.atm/mol.K
T = 30oC or 303K
Thus putting all the values in the equation we get,
3V = 0.5 0.0821 303
V = 12.443
Thus V = 4.1L
4.1L is the correct answer.
