Ethylamine is soluble in water whereas Aniline is not :
Ethylamine is known to be dissolved in water due to the reason that it is capable of forming intermolecular hydrogen bonds with water.
However, in the case of aniline, the bulk of carbon present in the molecule prevents the formation of effective hydrogen bonding with water and makes it insoluble.
In other words, aniline does not undergo H−bonding with water easily due to the presence of a large hydrophobic(Phenyl) group, which can be given as:
