"Accumulation does not happen as they get decomposed". This statement is true for which of the following?
Biodegradable waste
Biodegradable wastes are the wastes coming out of plant and animal origin like fruit peels, vegetable wastes or farm wastes etc. All such types of wastes get decomposed by microorganisms and they do not accumulate in their original form.
Non-biodegradable wastes such as plastics, glass do not get decomposed by microbes and hence accumulate in nature. This is the reason we see heaps of plastic bags around us.
