Solution

The correct option is D Original activation energy of the system
a) The increased temperature increases the kinetic energy of the enzymes which further accelerates the activity of the enzyme but at higher temperature it gets denatured as the peptide bonds between the proteins molecules breaks which disrupts the structure of enzymes.
b) Part of enzyme where substrate molecules gets attached is known as active site. On attachment to the active site the substrate is changed into product. The active site has a residue which helps in the attachment of substrate. The substrate molecules forms a temporary bond with the enzyme at the active site. When the substrate molecule exceeds the optimum limit and all the active sites are blocked rate of reaction decreases.
c) Low concentration of enzyme decreases the enzymatic activity as substrate cannot bind to the active site and thus they have very high energy so they cannot be changed into product.
d) The energy gap between the substrate and the product is known as activation energy which is the minimum energy required to initiate a reaction. The enzymes lowers the activation energy and leads to formation of activated complex, which is also known as transition state and finally changes to product. So, the original activation energy has least effect on the rate of reaction.
So, the correct answer is option D.
